the benefits of meditation
Meditation has changed my life! I know, I know…you’ve tried meditation and just can’t get into it! Your mind wanders, a list of daily tasks start to go through your mind…Its impossible! Well, you’re not alone. I used to feel the same way, as a matter of fact, I believe most people feel this way. Meditation is something to be eased into. You can start with five minutes a day and work your way up. I started with just closing my eyes in a quite setting and not putting any pressure on myself. Just let yourself “BE”. So what if you have thoughts you seemingly can’t control? Believe it or not, with daily practice, you really do get better and better at tapping into that part of the brain that allows for “peace”…without trying at all. After I got used to a daily practice of meditation, I started to experiment more with different techniques. I really love to meditate while listening to binaural beats. (You can find many versions on you tube) I find that when i meditate these days I really like to have about 45 to 60 minutes. This allows time for me to get to a truly blissful state. I like to lay down while meditating but many say the best way is sitting so that your chakras are more aligned. Do what feels most comfortable to you. Meditation can help with anxiety, lower blood pressure and help with stress management..just to name a few.
